About Fun Cantonese Basic
Fun Cantonese Basic is an innovative Reggio-Montessori play-based Cantonese program designed for children aged 3-7 years old. Our program places a strong emphasis on developing conversational Cantonese speaking and listening skills, as well as on recognizing Chinese characters and understanding traditional Chinese festival celebrations. Through a range of interactive learning activities, we encourage our students to use Cantonese to listen, speak, read, and write, thereby enhancing their overall language proficiency.

Our Mission
Our mission is to deliver a Cantonese learning experience that is both enjoyable and tailored to the age group of children, with a focus on non-traditional methods. By means of our lively play-based program, children are able to discover the Chinese culture and Cantonese language in an exciting and innovative way. We seek to inspire children’s curiosity and enable them to continuously explore, question, and learn about Cantonese and the Chinese culture.
我們的使命是用非傳統教育方法提供既愉快又合適該兒童年齡段的粵語學習體驗。通過我們生動活潑的遊戲課程，孩子們能夠以一種令人扣人心弦和創新的方式探索中國文化和粵語。我們力求激發孩子們的好奇心，使他們能夠不斷探索,查問和學習粵語和中國文化
Anny So - Our Head Teacher
Ms. Anny So, an experienced Early Childhood Educator, has held licenses in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Infant & Toddler (IT), Montessori, and Special Needs (SN) education for 15 years. Beginning in 2012, I have been actively teaching Cantonese classes to young children. Subsequently, in 2019, I took on the role of supervising and coordinating the Cantonese programs at Fun Cantonese Basic.
“My 15 years of experience as a licensed Early Childhood Educator has taught me that every child possesses unique talents and abilities. As a Cantonese teacher, my aim is to provide an age-appropriate and non-traditional learning experience that nurtures children’s curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for Chinese culture.
Our program aims to instill basic Cantonese knowledge and Chinese cultural understanding that inspires students to further explore the Cantonese language and Chinese heritage on their own. Ultimately, I hope to help preserve the Chinese heritage and Cantonese language for future generations while fostering strong family bonds by enabling children to learn and speak Cantonese, thereby maintaining positive relationships with their parents and grandparents.”
Anny So老師擁有 15 年的持牌幼兒教育經驗，持有嬰幼兒 ,蒙特梭利和特殊教育執照。她從 2012 年開始教授粵語，隨後，在 2019 年，我開始監督和營運 Fun Cantonese Basic 粵語課程
